The training and conditioning of the first year never truly goes away, Jams. There are a lot of hard learned lessons during that time, and they kick in at odd moments. Ringo is the only indoor cat I have who can live outside among the ferals, but she isn’t a member of the clan, so she isn’t close to house when she goes outside, and dashes in at meal times, when the feral cats are occupied eating.
]]>I posted a picture of Vinnie back on August 14. He spends most of his time under my house unless it’s cool, then he seeks the sunshine. He has at least one surviving littermate who he will spend time with, but he’s is usually alone.
The littermate is even more paranoid, and if I didn’t see it with Vinnie I would assume it too was gone.
]]>Horror flicks would be short and unexciting if they starred feral cats.
