No wonder Boehner opposes the bill – it will cost him major bucks.

It’s the realistic that drives them around the bend. They don’t seem to be able to deal with it, so they do everything they can to avoid it.

We should ship SUVs and their owners to the Arctic as canned food for the Polar Bears.

Heyyy!! Now, I like that plan! 😀 And so environment friendly! And solves a whole buncha problems at a time (Bears are finding it hard to find food I hear, with habitat destruction etc.) When your Revolution starts Bryan… count me in! 😀 😉

And yeah… nobody listens to me either. I’m sane and realistic and honest. Three strikes… 😈

You’re right, John. The presence of this, really does make it look like someone was planning something, and the nefarious plot was nipped in the bud. I really can’t believe that there is no one in the Democratic leadership who has a handle on the optics of this mess. They have allowed this thing to be displayed to all and sundry with no attempt at message control. The Obama campaign had great message control, but it has disappeared when they entered the White House.

I think they should arm bears and send them to rallies, but I’m a liberal, so no one cares what I think.

Most conspiracy theories were about who the bill would kill: old people, veterans, Republicans, women with breast cancer, blah-blah-blah. Another group of conspiracy theories was about how the bill would be used to end our freedom by creating government databases (other than the ones maintained by Homeland Security, because those pose no threat at all). Our evil plan is that we will declare guns to be a public health menace. Then we will require everyone to tell us about their guns. Naturally, everyone will tell us about their guns. Then blue-helmeted UN troops will arrive by black helicopter and take all the guns, paving the way for Al Gore to rein supreme as the Antichrist. Whenever the Democratic leadership is faced by such conspiracy mongering, instead of saying “don’t be such an idiot” they mollify the nuts by passing a law against whatever had their knickers in a knot that week. By rushing to pass a law against the fear du jour, they confirm the conspiratorial fear that these things really are possible and that only the eternal vigilance of Glen Beck and Art Bell keep us safe.
