The 2nd thing that truly pisses me off is the way that the great USA just bent over and allowed Israel to shaft them with a hot poker after the attack and allowed, and even helped them, get away with it! As the USA has done ever since the State of Israel came into existence. It’s highly amusing that the so-touted great *Christian* Nation of the USA will ignore and even spite Rome every chance it gets, but will sprawl face down in the dirt whenever the Jewish State of Israel glances their way! In truth, it’s confusing. I dunno sometimes who is worst, Israel or USA.
Bah!! Don’t even get me started!
]]>I wouldn’t be at all surprised that Israel has US ordnance that is no longer available in the US inventory, nor that they have copied it in their own facilities. There is no oversight of any kind on Israeli nuclear facilities, hell, they won’t even admit they have them. They have the examples, so they can reverse engineer whatever they want.
Those of us who were in the community are the only ones who seem to remember the unprovoked attack on a clearly marked US military vessel in international waters, Fallenmonk. People don’t want to know that Israel has attacked a US vessel, while Iran hasn’t. Our foreign policy should be for our benefit.
]]>*sigh* I realised after rereading the above that it doesn’t really give an accurate picture. So…
The USA does have enhanced (salted) nuclear weapons. There are three categories, short, medium and long term. Short term enhanced salted munitions use a gold isotope (au-198) with a half-life of about 2.5-3 days, medium are usually salted with either tantalum (ta-182) with a half life of about 115 days or zinc (zn-65) with a half life of about 244 days; long term use cobalt (co-60) with a half life of 5.26 years. The problem with these half life figures is that they are only valid in a lab. The isotopes in question will continue to poison the same material in an area (some au-197 will become the isotope au-198). The USA Spartan ABM W71 warhead uses gold (au-198) because of it’s *reletively* short life, but any au-197 in the area of detonation may be contaminated. also, as was proved during the UK tested a cobalt salted bomb at Maralinga here in Aus on 14-Sep-57 and we are still paying the price. It was discovered and reported years later that pretty much every human born since the tests has some trace amounts of cobalt-60 in their bones. USA also has some zinc salted warheads because it was discovered that as well as a relatively short half-life, zn-65 has a greater radiation *intensity* than co-60. So, whilst the USA can say almost truthfully that it doesn’t have any cobalt bombs in the USA, they do have zinc and gold which in some respects are even worse. 🙂
Some factual info can be found here (originally from FAS):
Cobalt Bombs and other Salted Bombs
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to discover that some gold or zinc salted weapons have found their way to Israel the past decade. 🙂
Sorry… Kinda OT again I guess. But relevant. 🙂
]]>Israel actually has a very tough and embarrassing (at the very least) leash around the USA’s neck.
]]>But still… better the yids be over there than over here. Anti-Jew sentiment isn’t that strong in the USA today compared to when the State of Israel was founded, other than in the black and Hispanic communities, but still seems strong enough to keep payin’ them off to stay over there than allow them to come over here. Not that you’d know it from the amount of Israeli Mafia activity in Florida, where it seems like organized crime figures move between Israel and the U.S. at will depending upon whose law is most peeved with them at any given time (Florida is a huge area for the Russian-Israeli Mafiya, they pretty much own most of the moving industry outside of the major national movers in Florida for example because they kneecapped all the non-Mafiya competition).
]]>If they want to go around antagonizing people and starting wars, let them do it on their dime. It’s time we pulled our stored materiel out of Israel, where it is used to blow up schools, hospitals, and apartment blocks.
]]>isn’t israel where we’re stockpiling all those nukes we’re planning to [let israel] use against iran some day?
