There are 6 different amendments on the ballot. I focused on 5 and 6.
That is a discussion of Amendment 1, which would repeal public financing of elections. I was a long hard road to get public financing, and now the legislature wants to eliminate it.
The legislature also wants to change the class size provisions that were put in by an earlier citizens initiative, and they put in Amendment 8 to do that.

Groups such as Common Cause Florida, the League of Women Voters and the Florida Education Association oppose the amendment. They say public funding of campaigns encourages competition and allows candidates with limited funds to battle for elected office.
