Well, other than breaking a light fixture at the place I’m currently working on, it has gone pretty well. There will be an exchange of e-mails with my brothers concerning certain gifts that require me to put them together and configure, but that will wait.

Those potatoes sound like a meal in their own right without anything else. Decent baking potatoes are another thing that you don’t seen to be able to get any more. Most of them are too small, and you might as well peal them and roast them, which is annoying because I like the skins more than the potato.

My niece scored a major win with a coffee mug that had pictures of her two ankle-biters on it. Great grandmothers like that sort of thing, so it is probably something that hits on the “mother instinct”. Good move, m8! Jack Russells are said to be good ratters, so they aren’t as useless as miniature [and smaller] poodles.

Well, I’m looking at the possibility of 28° or 30° on Christmas, but it will be F not C. Just got a Christmas card from an old friend who lives down on the Atlantic coast at Palm Beach. He has pulled out his ski clothes to cope with the weather.

I may even take tomorrow off … mostly.

Yup! Just finished getting everything ready for lunch (and dinner). Roast is in the oven, and we have some nice big baking potato’s. Just having a coffee & mince tart break, then I’ll make the filling for the spuds (I split the potatoes into 4 quarters (not all the way, about 4/5ths) then a layer of bacon, red onion, mushroom all chopped & fried in olive oil, a layer of coleslaw & topped with sour cream & chives) most of which I am not supposed to have, but I don’t care today! Xmas day is all about excess after all! 😆

I got a nice prezzie from my housemate, a nice big bath sheet with my name nicely embroidered on it (she does embroidery herself). And I got her a new bone china tea cup that I had made with her fave photo of her dog face on it (It’s a Jack Russell) And little paw prints around the inner rim. 😉 It’s a *girl* thing! LOL She loved it, so I managed to do something right! 😀 😉

Supposed to be a nice 28C today, but they said that yesterday and it was 30C. It’s a bit humid, but we’ll cope! 😀

Thanks for a great year here! You do a great job, and you attract some pretty decent folk here! It’s a nice place to get away from the daily garbage. 🙂 I hope your day goes well, and just give yourself a break m8! Enjoy! 😀

Shrill is a complement among US liberal bloggers, Kryten. You don’t get heard at all if you aren’t shrill, like Krugman. Of course you have read the same thing here. I’m very satisfied with my record as a shrill and hostile person.

I notice by the clock on the Internet that you are already a day ahead, so Happy Christmas, and don’t get sunburned as you enjoy eating outside in mid-Summer.

The torture cover-up has been obvious from the beginning, part of the “bi-partisan” crap – no investigations into what the Hedgemony did, and cosmetic cover for as much of it as possible. Conservatives don’t investigate conservatives or corporations.
