Sorry to say that while Invest 95 has become Tropical Storm Arlene, it looks like the high pressure ridge is going to steer it into Tampico.

I know what you mean about the lack of water. I had to water my Mother’s azaleas which aren’t on the irrigation system because you never had to water them around here. That ridge is what is keeping the weather and the seabreeze away.

But if we could see some of the rain resulting from Invest 95 in any part of south Texas, it would make a lot of us very happy. It’s been weeks at a time with at most a 10-minute shower and none of the real gully-washers. South Texas flora did not evolve to thrive in this sort of climate.
