Maybe It’s You

'Weepy John' BoehnerJohn Boehner has been complaining about the “unwillingness” of Democrats to compromise, but he can’t even get his own party to vote for his plan.

I wonder if he has considered the possibility that he is the problem. When you can’t convince your own party to make a deal, why would anyone else?

Update: John-Boy doesn’t have the votes among his party to pass his bill in the Chamber he is supposedly leading, so he will wait until tomorrow.

Apparently no one thinks a straight vote on a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling is even worth consideration. All of the amendments are about things that belong in the debate over the budget, so saving them for the budget debate would be too rational and sensible for Congress.

The Orange Boner ain’t the sharpest tool in the underpants. Just sayin’.

Yeah, well he is leading a caucus that includes several dozen members who wear their underpants on their heads, so he wouldn’t have much to work with even if he was competent.

Perhaps the Teabaggers think that the default will bring on the Rapture…

At this point point it looks more like a ‘Rupture” than “Rapture”.

The worst part is that there is no way of isolating this from the rest of world. Everyone is going to be impacted by these zealots. It may be time to put the Republicans on the international terrorist list.

The GOP is getting its just deserts for taking the House by running so many Teabaggers. It’s hard to feel sorry for Boehner or any of them; they are hoist with their own petard, which if I recall means a small explosive akin to a fart. Come to think of it, “little fart” describes Boner pretty well…

He got something passed, and Reid had it voted down in the Senate almost immediately, so what was the point other than running out the clock?

The ‘Tea Party’ are anarchists, plain and simple. They want revolution, not restoration. Their purpose is to destroy the government.
