Even on the right a significant number avoid cartoon characters, as it would cut into their time to advocate wars, and measure fonts.

The whole point of the article seemed to be, to introduce to translate foreign language news coverage without actually covering anything relevant. They could have had articles from conservative German newspapers describing the Congressional Tea Party caucus as morons, but they went with Smurfs.

After all, we’re talking about folks who had a gay old time (pun intended) talking about the Teletubbies being a gay indoctrination cult back in the day.

Crazy is crazy, regardless of who’s publishing it. What this *does* seem to say, however, is that there’s little to distinguish CNN’s content from that of random bloggers throwing darts at a set of ad-lib dartboards. Dart #1 on the noun board… “Smurfs!” Dart #2 on the adjective board… “Fascist!” The rest writes itself :twisted:.
