It was a truce for a few hours, but I’ll take what is offered.

Oh, I have to resubmit my comment on Rocky Girl. It appeared when I did it, but then is was missing the next time I dropped by. You should save the cat hair and start spinning it into yarn.

Well, squirrels are an affront to creation, and should be eliminated, along with gophers and moles. As for the hummingbirds, perhaps they are humming off-key?

The ferals generally ignore the doves, while rodents of every variety are dispatched without a thought.

I’m glad they got along long enough for you to snap the photo:)

I think I told you the story about the time he proudly presented the live still-wriggling *snake* to my mother, and the general hilarity that happened *after* that which resulted in me washing the laundry for the next month… for some reason she didn’t appreciate the “gift”. 🙂 🙂 🙂

If you let a tom go too long before seeing the vet, they tend to want to wander and instinctively dislike other toms.

If you catch them early, neutered toms are the mellowest cat you can have. Usually worthless for rodent control. but easy to live with.

But they were both fixed males (fixed at an early age). They would even share a cat carrier when I needed to take them to the vet, though getting both of them *into* one cat carrier was somewhat… troublesome :). With Mencken and TMF, who aren’t related by anything other than the fact they both escaped the Humane Society gas chamber due to finding a penguin, Mencken pretty much just tolerates TMF at best (actually he just ran TMF off the futon beside me, there is a couple of clumps of black fur decorating the carpet now 🙂 ), and I wouldn’t dare try putting them both into the same cat carrier — the howling, hissing, screeching, and yowling would make the fur flying out of every orifice of the thing almost seem incidental :).
