Thanks.

They might re-think their strategy after what just happened to Tony Boloney, Badtux … or continue to mumble about terrorists and DFHs.

I daresay the consequences would have been far worse had she stepped on the cracks….

This is to ensure that ‘no innocent citizen’ is convicted of a crime they didn’t commit’. If you refuse to confess your crime, you are obviously mentally unbalanced and are sent to a psychiatric hospital to be cured. Tsar Michael can’t understand why the peasants are ‘forcing him’ to waste money on police overreactiontime and courts, and haven’t confessed their crimes.

Jams, the NYPD is fracturing between the police officers and the ‘counter-terrorism cult’. If this keeps up you could have officers fighting in the streets.

Steve, any competent audio engineer can set up a white noise defense overnight with off-the-shelf equipment. You can get the most difficult bit from a good pair of noise canceling earphones. In any case, high-powered, high frequency sound is not something you use in glass and concrete ‘canyons’ unless you want to break windows at a minimum, and possibly damage structures. You would want engineering studies before trying it.

With that perspective, I can’t begin to tell you how reprehensible it is for anyone, for whatever reason, knowingly to inflict severe hearing loss on other people. I hope the perpetrators go to jail and are not placed in a padded cell!

Perhaps there is still some common sense in the NYPD

Who does Bloomers think he is — Joseph Stalin, who bothered with trials only when he wanted to put on a show for the public?!

Trying to use that kind of equipment in a concrete canyon like NYC will be a major disaster. They used it in Pittsburgh and are facing law suits from bystanders because it isn’t a narrow focus weapon.

Earbuds are as good as earplugs, but you can get the foam earplugs is the same area that has the other safety equipment. They are dirt cheap.

The beast is vehicle mounted and guaranteed to cause law suits. In addition, if they use it in the financial district the 1% will be distinctly unhappy as it can break windows.

Words definitely become redefined over the years, and words dealing with politics more than most.

The biggest problem for the people who claim they are ‘conservative’ today is that they don’t know enough about US history to actually understand how radical they are.

Forgive my uncooperativeness, but I think that we’d better add ear stopples to your list of protective gear a protester needs to carry.
