They keep trying to appease the people who hate them, and will continue to attempt to defund them, no matter what they do. They should not mold to the news to suit the people who hate them.
]]>Rook, I thought I made that plain when I called her a ‘freelance announcer’. i.e. not a full-time employee. She did do analysis of operas, which, in the case of Mozart, were considered political when they were written, but the closest she came to the news, was reading the intro to a syndicated news program that some individual stations carry. She has a good voice for radio.
I still hold NPR responsible for again bending to the will of the wingnuts, even though she isn’t part of Occupy DC, but a separate anti-war movement.
