Yeah, but she didn’t leave the food, which is always the real draw for both ferals and strays.

The true ferals will move kittens if people get close, even my crew.

the first batch of kittens, having spent their formative weeks living almost-in-the-wild, range from a little bit skittish to outright wild.

the second batch of kittens, having lived all their lives as indoor kitties, are truly housecats, expecting the human and dog to serve as their staff. although the ninja kitten has followed somewhat in the footsteps of her older, wilder siblings, she’s still one of the first to come running when i bring out either the catnip or the brushes.

Only a masochist tries to live with a functioning tomcat. If they aren’t fighting, they are marking.

I’m glad he found a good feeding station, at your place. Since he doesn’t immediately run off, he may tame down for you.

I’ve seen a number of them over the years. Those that have lived with humans are out during the day, and don’t panic at the sight of people.

I can’t get very close to this one, but he doesn’t panic if I am walking in his general direction.

He was living wild in the grounds of the hospital SHirl worked in. One time she went up to him but he ran off into a busy road and got run over. Luckily he was not seriously hurt (fractured hip) and the driver took him to a PDSA hospital (a charity for treating pets where owners are on low income). Shirl was able to track him down and took him in. He had 13 good years with her dying in 2002. Bebe was his replacement
