You are concerned about spiders, and we already have a flea problem without a freeze to kill them on the surface. I will probably be forced to spray the yard, which I hate to do, but I have to break the cycle before the cost of Frontline breaks the bank.

Steve, the law is only for home invasion and car jacking, but judges are applying it to every confrontation. Other than occupied “dwellings, residences, and vehicles” the requirement to retreat if possible is supposed to be rule. The whole criminal justice system in this state is off the track. It isn’t working.

As for this case, a professional autopsy should be able provide a lot of the missing pieces, i.e. whether Trayvon Martin was actually in a fight, and where he and Zimmerman were in relation to each other when he was shot. Unfortunately, ‘professional autopsies’ are not the rule in Florida.

The name has always bugged me. I mean, ‘pseudo’ is not exactly a word to inspire confidence. For me it works, and I have tried several replacements that just didn’t work. I would note I take it at half the recommended dosage because that’s all I need. I’m not a fan of drugs in general.

I still buy about one package every two or three years, signing my life away as you describe, but I mostly don’t use it these days because of my tendency to high blood pressure (well-controlled, but maybe not if I took that med). I used to take it continuously in the spring; I feel sorry for people who are still dependent on it, now that it has become “suspicious.”

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that he has his family out talking to the press about Martin’s alleged assault of Zimmerman, but it certainly doesn’t help to hear them say those things when there is literally no visible evidence of an assault.

With that law, it seems Florida is trying to out-Texas Texas. If I were African American and lived in Florida, if Zimmerman walks, I’d seriously consider moving to another state that would give me at least minimal protection of the law. Tragically, it’s too late for Martin to do that.

I’ve noticed a lot more snifflely reaction in myself this spring, probably because we had NO WINTER in Southern California this year. We turned the heater on maybe 5 or 6 times in all.

The spiders are going to huge this summer….

It’s pretty bad when, as Digby noted, even Nancy Grace figured it out. It illustrates why the lead investigator didn’t buy Zimmerman’s version of what happened.

And surely Zimmerman’s lawyer would be floating around records of ER treatment if there were any. Hrm. Sounds to me like some folks are floatin’ tall tales to excuse why a white boy ain’t goin’ to jail for puttin’ one of them black boys in his place.
