While it wasn’t an ‘official’ form, there was an SOP for flying outfits that specified how much would be deducted from paychecks and how many grade levels individuals lost when crews went TDY and behaved badly. The squadron fund paid the bills and was ‘voluntarily’ reimbursed by the individuals.

One of the best pilots I ever flew with made Major three times. Great pilot, but he had a serious lack of inhibitions when he was deployed.

Heh. Yeah, like I was saying in the breakroom at work today, there’s a long tradition at these kinds of events of showing the flag if ya know what I mean (wink wink), but Rule #1 is, if you’re gonna go flag-wavin’, you don’t stiff the local talent. That’s bad form ugly American territory, stiffing the local talent, and will get you in trouble big-time. Especially when the local talent has the cops on the payroll. And Rule #2 is that they know Rule #1 too, so they’re gonna charge ya an arm and a leg, so ya better darn well have it or else Kleenex are your friend. These rules aren’t written down anywhere, but if you break’em, Bad S**t happens. As we now see :).

Youngsters today. Just no respect for ancient traditions. Heh.
