I find that the sacking of Rome, or World War II are two prime periods if you feel like getting more specific, although the year 1000 is also pretty good [i.e. why do you think they were called the Dark Ages?]. But then, I’m a nasty person.

Besides, you know we only have to hold out until the Rapture gets here, which I am told is going to be Real Soon Now due to the Middle East situation… heard that one at my nephew’s wedding just a few months ago and I can tell you, it’s some scary to hear that stuff just pop out of someones mouth when you aren’t expecting it.
