Everything starts in California these days, and heads East.

The Local Puppy Trainer was just bought by some unknown entity from out-of-state [the state being California for the former owners], so no one knows what will happen. Since the decision was made to sell off the Florida papers by the owners as part of bankruptcy proceedings, things have moderated, no doubt to lure subscribers, but I suspect it will be ‘Times-Picayune-d’ before this is over.

Dave, I’m on record as advocating that any politician who runs on a ‘family values’ platform should automatically be placed on the sex offenders list, because it is only a matter of time before they are arrested for a sex crime.

Hell, I’d settle for a twelve month period in which no local politicians was arrested. It keeps happening, and the voters keep electing Republicans. The old ’cause and effect’ thing doesn’t intrude on the thinking of local people.
