Of course, this provides an breeding ground for mosquitoes and more ‘chemical warfare.

My basic problem is that if I’m not planning to eat it, I don’t care what it looks like. I like green, but there are other colors, even for a yard. If I didn’t think it would drive the lawn guy around the bend, I would till the front yard and sow wildflowers over it. Everyone would be on my case for doing it, but a green lawn in front of a white house makes towns look like military housing, not real communities.

Yeah, Jill, I noticed that fires are popping up behind you when I look at the Federal Incident map. I think Badtux has some ‘wet’ that he would like to ‘share’, so all you need is for the jet stream to drop a couple of hundred miles.

If y’all have any “extra” water you would like to donate to SoCal, we would greatly appreciate it. (Firefighters warning sign just turned from Moderate to High yesterday)

so, along with not dumping pesticides and herbicides into the environment, not using up fertilizer that could better be used for growing food, and not pumping precious groundwater out of the aquifers, my neighborhood is also one of the least flooded.

but yeah, not looking forward to more of this.
