Your reality wasn’t exactly nice for an extended period today, Hipparchia. That mess that you have been putting up with all afternoon finally got here just before 6PM. Overall I had minimal problems, although the bayou is higher than normal, and if some moron goes boating tomorrow he will probably push water into the condos along the shore that are too close to the bayou with no elevation [assuming they aren’t already underwater from the surge].
]]>He is probably going to see that kind of water again closer to the coast if this thing doesn’t speed up some.
Well, delusions have always been scarier reality.
]]>I, too, am happy not to be down at the Imperial Valley. Even the sympathetic vibrations are somewhat disconcerting.
Given how easily Ted Nugent is frightened by things like, say, universal healthcare or a black President, I don’t think it would take too many weapons in the ZASK to frighten Ted Nugent .
]]>I’m more worried about all of the oil in the sediments that is going to be stirred up, but maybe the farmers inland will benefit. There are always trade offs.
Speaking of trade offs, I’m happy not to be in SoCal for another round of the Imperial Valley cluster quakes. I did some work for a farm equipment dealer out there and was present for an episode. If one quake is unsettling, that really gets to you. We re-scheduled because the equipment kept moving, and he said they would probably continue for a while. I wasn’t exactly thrilled to be driving over the mountains knowing that the earth was shaking.
I assume a ZASK probably involves armored vehicles and weapons that would scare Ted Nugent. 😉
]]>Given his definition of preparation for “a little bit”, I don’t even want to know what his notion of the “Zombie Apocalypse survival kit” is :).
