It is amazing how many people who think they like chocolate have never actually tasted the real thing. They are in for a shock if they order a chocolate in a Latin American cafe.

Even before I found out about the original celebration of Easter before it was ‘borrowed’ I was bothered about saying ‘Happy Easter’. That would be like Happy Yom Kippur. Most of the celebration is extremely distance and unconnected with the actual holiday.

People are really strange.

No more kids wanting choccy stuff that’s bad for them, since for financial reasons, the usual garbage that passes for chocolate from the likes of Cadbury, Hershey’s etc get’s even worse at Easter (more sugar and coloring, less cocoa) and the prices for their crap escalates because most people are stupid enough to pay the excessive prices! I did get a nice treat for myself however, that the kids hate (bonus!) 80% cocoa chocolate mini-eggs, from Aldi of all places! And quite nice they are too! One of their German house brands, Moser Roth. 😀 So, Easter wasn’t *all* bad! 😛

Of course, the *actual* reason for the Easter season have long been forgotten (or never known) by most, especially supposed Christians (who almost always get the actual reasons for such things wrong, being the brainwashed automatons many are. Questions are FORBIDDEN you know! Well, you can *ask* but don’t be surprised at the horrified look and the response “you have no faith!” or similar.) It’s a lovely way to escape any responsibility or intelligent thought. *shrug*

So plenty of street festivals around, but don’t go to’em if your employer is prone to random drug testing. Just sayin’ ;).
