Anyone who can stand on the runners of a sled for 600 miles is beyond tough, and then you add in slinging hay bales and dog food bags it is off the scale. She is alone at the end, but they had better not withdraw her if she is still running. The Quest will let people finish, but the Iditarod has a habit of dropping people at the end of the race.

Jessie and Aliy – 4 & 5.

She’s tough, and it looks like she’ll finish this year. Red Lantern or not, I’m in awe of anyone that tackles this race. Geez, I’m in good health, and I’m sure I couldn’t tackle it (even as much as I like dogs). I just wonder how she does it.

If Aliy keeps in the front now, we’ll have two ladies in the top 5. I like it. 🙂
