]]>Steve, they spent $7 billion to drill a test well into what was supposed to be the center of the new field. Given the low oil prices they can’t afford to do any drilling up there. They started with oil about $100/barrel when they might have made a profit, but at $40/barrel they probably can’t cover their costs. The Keystone XL will probably die for the same reason.
In many ways Bernie, like Elizabeth Warren, is actually conservative, but people don’t know that unless they were aware and alive before Reagan. A lot of the protections and benefits that were enjoyed by the little people were crushed after 1980.
