They all want to lock you in to their software and don’t give a damn about your needs. IOS 9 automatically shifts you to a cell connection if it feels your WiFi connection isn’t up to snuff. That is going to seriously annoy some people.

Uhm, no. It includes a new security feature (SIP) that apparently breaks any software that needs direct access to the hardware — like, say, the VirtualBox virtualization software that I need in order to run Windows and Linux.

Sigh. Evil. They’re *all* evil. Every single one of them. Well, maybe “Linux” isn’t evil, because it really can’t be, what with the legal requirement to release source code and all that, but the Linux desktop sucks bollocks so badly that this isn’t really a solution for a laptop. SIGH.
