Anyone who actually has hopes of higher office doesn’t want failed Speaker of the House on his CV. The real value of being the Speaker is the ability to actually getting things done, and you can’t do it that with the current zoo.

All the usual suspects seem to have been approached and they all backed away saying “nuh uhn get away from me that Speaker’s chair has cooties!”.
