Sat, 31 Oct 2015 20:31:32 +0000http://whynow.dumka.us/?p=36078#comment-80305There was a certain level of prejudice against Scott because he was a Southerner and McClellan was a very ambitious man [who later became governor of New Jersey] who felt he should control everything. Sam Grant liked Scott, as did Sherman, but they were ‘exiled’ to the Western Front.
Christie really is irrelevant….

He is the person who came up with the strategy that successfully strangled the Confederacy, and he lived long enough to see his strategy work. That must have been very satisfying to him, shoved aside as he was early during the war because impatient Yankees felt sure the Confederacy would collapse the moment a few Union soldiers fired guns their way and didn’t want to listen to any kind of wisdom from this fat old man.
Just a random aside. Carry on making Chris Christie jokes :).

Of course, a commercial vessel used for whale watching could certainly use the name. 😈

Fri, 30 Oct 2015 02:01:07 +0000http://whynow.dumka.us/?p=36078#comment-80294The segments of the audience booing when the candidates were asked difficult questions, pretty much shows that the ‘sheep’ aren’t really interested in facts.
