My roommate when I lived in Omaha, Nebraska had a Golden Retriever named Monroe. The dog would get out and forget how to get home, so we would end up walking the neighborhood looking for him. I wandered around looking and occasionally calling ‘Dog’. My roommate would get annoyed and point that the dog had a name: Monroe. I always responded that I knew the dog’s name was Monroe, and he knew the dog’s name was Monroe. but unfortunately the dog didn’t know his name was Monroe so there was no point in using it.

A hunting dog that couldn’t find his home and couldn’t remember his name is none too bright.

The key is that almost all dogs like people and are loyal. It has been a while since I have seen a politician that I truly believed met either criteria.

A Red Healer is dumber than a Goldie. They like chasing things like balls. They run absolutely flat out. The problem is, their usual method of stopping is crashing into something! Luckily, nature saw to it that there was little in the head to damage. 😉 LOL

However, Reds are loyal and will attack anyone stupid enough to bother the master. Being very strong and having the Healer’s locking jaw, makes them rather dangerous when annoyed. 🙂 I’d trust one of them long before any politician. I wouldn’t trust a politician to tell me if it was day or night, or to actually know.

At this point I would vote for a golden retriever, which, from personal experience, I consider dumber than a post, but still smarter than a dozen of those actually running.

In Canada the Conservatives had to partner with the National Democrats to form a government, but now Trudeau has an actual majority. Netanyahu has to get together with every fringe group in Israel to form a government. There are a hell of a lot of countries ruled by a plurality not a majority.

Wanna know something curious? The Aus. Liberal Party have NEVER had enough votes in a Federal election to have a majority to govern. It’s why they formed a coalition with the National party who were formed in 1920 as the Australian Country Party.

Think about that.
