]]>The consensus would seem to be that more people than expected decided to cast “protest votes” against Cameron and austerity rather than against the EU, because it was the only vote scheduled, not because they really had anything against the EU. It is highly unlikely that many of the voters really knew what the EU really was or what it did. People are not happy and government isn’t fixing anything, so throw the bums out. I’m still trying to figure out what Corbyn did to deserve all of the grief.

]]>This is FUBAR. No one thought this through. The EU just made it clear that there won’t be a single market without freedom of movement, and Brexit was about stopping freedom of movement. Once again people forgot to engage their brains before casting their ballots.
