An SUV doesn’t have the capacity of a 20 foot UHaul, but more than enough for a very bad day.

A lot of people are very good on the “this would be neat” and not so good on how could soeone use this destructively. Size matters. Small drones are annoying, but the larger the drone, the greater the possibility for problems. Drones were my Father’s primary focus for a major portion of his Air Force career, so I have seen a lot of the negative features of large drones [up to and including B-17 conversions]. This can get out of hand, which is why the military played with them over the Gulf or the Eglin firing ranges.

Federal buildings now have exclusion zones around them where you do *not* park a truck, period, or you will find yourself answering pointed questions from people with no sense of humor as your truck is driven away by one of them at a high rate of speed. But if you look at Google Street View of the Oklahoma City federal courthouse or the new federal building that replaced the blown-up one, while there are no-parking zones all around them, there’s nothing stopping a truck from driving by and going kaboom…

Yeah — networked AI controlled vehicles with eyes (cameras) and assorted other senses (GPS, infrared, radar, sonic range-finders, impact sensors). What could go wrong? Seems like I heard about some ruckus over in France concerning a truck?

The current drones flying around are a threat to privacy and a danger in flight paths but something with the load capacity of an SUV is a ‘clear and present danger’. Look the way the Shrubbery and the Dick reacted to Saddam’s R/C aircraft club…

I’m in Florida. All problems can be resolved by firearms according to our Republican state government, but blood is so hard to get out of concrete sidewalks and there is always a lot of paperwork involved.

Since they outsourced everything there is absolutely no possibility that anyone who knocked on my door would be cleared to ask me any questions, much less listen to an answer. In a charming bit of cyclical idiocy commonly called ‘Catch 22’, I no longer have the clearance necessary to access the only valid means of determining that someone has the clearance to listen to any answer I might give which I no longer have the clearance to hear.

I spent a decade being annoyed by cheap suits, they take time to learn. They are not hired for their IQ’s. Last time was ’92 when I was organizing my trip to Italy for R&R. They are always in pairs. To paraphrase River Tam on Firefly “Two by two. Brains of blue!” Anyway, they left shaking & needing clean underwear. I’d finally reached my limit. I haven’t been bothered since.

The first thing they did wrong was accost me in my workplace in front of witnesses, none of whom were cleared to even know what Gov agencies I’d worked for or what I’d done in the 80’s! It went downhill from there. The problem ASIO has, is they assume everyone is as moronic & weak as they are!

I called my old Director @ DIO who immediately called their Director and had a lovely little conference call with much yelling and threats! LOL

I said I was planning to go for a few months after surgery to visit family & recover. Which was true. I had planned that. After their visit, I decided to stay longer & added a last minute stopover for a month in the USA. Just to really worry them! 😈

Mind you, it did garner me some new respect at the office, and perhaps a little awe! 😆

I have zero interest in, or fear of, the cheap suit brigade.

Drones? A problem? Of course not! I think the USA has proven time and again just how safe and wonderful drones are. 😆
