He started slow and only has 8 dogs pulling, so I don’t expect bursts of speed. Rob Cooke’s Sibs seem to be weathering the trail better.

From Eagle to Circle they are on the Yukon, and stay on the flats to Central where they do the double climb. The speeds should go up a lot in that stretch.

Just looked up Slaven’s Roadhouse. Enjoyed reading about the history of it.

It’s 1:30 EST and the top three are still at Slaven’s. DeBruin is kind of lonely at the end of the pack. It’s says he’s going 0.5 mph, but it looks to me like he’s still at Dawson. Maybe he’s just heading out.
