As long as their names don’t appear on the court docs, they don’t have a problem. Working at a firm isn’t the same as being involved in the case.

These guys are Justice Department professionals, and it is unlikely that they have had a chance to deal with Trump before. Previous encounters would almost automatically result in their having to recuse themselves for being biased against him.

He is creating a major all star team for this investigation and is expanding the topics under investigation. He has a financial fraud ace and a top criminal litigator [a barrister, in the British system, a trial lawyer in the US]. I have thought for some time that this was going to boil down to money laundering through real estate transactions.

It is possible that Trump is merely trying to hide what his net worth actually is, which is probably not the billions he claims. It would seem that he is only a minority stake-holder in many of the assets he claims, and that stake is mortgaged. It doesn’t matter if he is not actually covering up a crime, but only attempting to protect his ‘image’, he is giving every indication of obstructing an investigation, which is a crime on its own.

It was the front bumper and the stump was hiding in a clump of grass. My fault, it should have made me wonder why there was a clump in an otherwise mowed yard.

As for Trump, the courts are ripping him a new one for what he writes on Twitter and says in public which undercuts the claims of the lawyers trying to defend his stupid crap. He is a witness for the prosecution in all of the cases against him.
