Locally we have good schools because the Feds pay for the military brats [like I was] and require a curriculum consistent with DoD standards to make easy to transfer to new schools at other bases.

Florida has some good public schools, but they are concentrated in the most affluent areas. But that’s the case pretty much everywhere in the nation, alas.

Sam Fuentes was shot in both legs and the face and still has shrapnel behind her left eye. There are pictures of her speaking out about the people claiming it wasn’t real with her face bruised and swollen. So in addition to everything else she is probably also dealing with antibiotics and pain meds that do nothing friendly to your stomach.

There were several signs with variations of “The only thing easier to buy in the US than a gun is a politician…”

I saw Naomi speak. What a wonderful, bright, articulate young lady. I (probably) know more words that Naomi but I could never string ’em together and sound as terrific as she. (not to mention my shrek like appearance was no match foe her innate cuteness!). Also Samantha Fuentes who’s butterflies caused her to hurl at the start of her speech got back up and fired off “I just threw up on international television, and it feels great!” although I’m sure that crowd of 1/2 million had something to do with it as well. Yeah, the NRA has good reason to be scared.

Best sign of the day was carried by a young lady in San Francisco: “my uterus is more regulated than guns”. Amen sister, amen.
