There was a basement, so you could put the old door in the basement until you leave and buy a new door to modify. Most old doors are better built using real wood rather than the $30-40 “composite” doors you can buy now.
]]>Live rounds in the grout and BB practice inside the house. :-/ Oh yeah, makes sense.
]]>In addition to the live rounds, he had a habit of shooting his BB gun inside which requires replacing the paneling in two rooms.
]]>One story that you might appreciate, though. Upon going through a final walk through with a rent-to-buy that didn’t work out, I noticed a small square section had been rough-cut out of the bottom of the door leading from the kitchen to the basement. Upon inquiry, the renter blithely told me that his wife asked him to do it for the cat. Apparently, they would leave the basement door open and the hole saved them from having to open the door constantly for the cat. Lazy and stupid. You can’t do anything with that.
]]>Excellent question. If you can come up with a reason to embed live .30-06, .300 Winchester Magnum, 7.62X39mm, and .223 (5.56mm NATO) rifle rounds and a sprinkling of .25 ACP, 9mm, .357 Magnum, and .40 pistol rounds in the grout between floor tiles I would be interested. It might have something to do with with all of the discarded syringes and and small plastic bags of crystalline or white powder residue also found in the apartment.
Well, they are pretty visible for a predator, so if you get eaten it’s your own fault. While brown tree snakes aren’t a serious threat to people, they have caused ecological hell in Guam among native bird populations.
The spiders are very effective controllers of mosquitoes. I didn’t know about their effect on hornets and wasps, but I’ll tell my friend who seems to attract wasps if they are anywhere in the area.
]]>Pleeeeese come visit Australia! Our fauna (and most flora) needs fresh meat! They get so bored with local produce!๐น๐ผ
Yeah… Really, hipparchia! Curious mind’s must know! ๐ค๐คจ
]]>We did resist the urge to give her a name, though.
]]>Why were there live rounds in the grout?
Hehehehe: “In 2012 a large individual was photographed killing and consuming a half-metre-long brown tree snake in Freshwater, Queensland.” – Of course! We earned our rep for having the worst of most flora & fauna!
(OT: Online time is reduced currently. Have a number of issues to deal with. Not least is our Gov’s. clueless, thoughtless, ignorant insanity.)
