Asking George W. Bush and Barack Obama give eulogies was part of that business. They both defeated McCain in his pursuit of the Presidency – Bush in the primary and Obama in the general election. He notably did not invite Trump or Sarah Palin.

Roberta McCain is what good genes look like.

John’s 106 YO Mother. With a good insight into John’s early years. I thought the eulogies delivered by Pres. Obama and Bush were good (only mentioned in this article, but I watched vid’s of them elsewhere). 🙂

John McCain’s remarkable mother: At 106, Roberta McCain has outlived her son

He was also one of the few who opposed torture in any form by the US government, and one of the very few Repubs who openly opposed Trump’s various brain farts.

I can’t say I agreed with McCain about much of anything, but I respected him. That’s something that’s not true of most of today’s Republican clown posse.

I also commented on this tweet from Michael Avenatti

I was often… frustrated… by McCain! As a combat veteran, I knew he was a good man & above all, Honorable! But his Politic’s often made me cringe. It helped to know that he did try to take a stand against GOP extremism, especially with regard to Human Rights. Mom had shown me his bio in the early 80’s. And I spent some time in the State Library researching him (and others) before I decided to sign up. Politics back then meant very little, if anything, to me.

Rest, in Peace John McCain! You endured much as did so many others in the Vietnam conflict. You all deserve peace.

PS: If your spirit could maybe torment Donald Trump for all eternity, that would be a good thing! Another win for you, even after death. I’ll tell my spirit to do the same when my time comes! Thank you Sir!👍🏾😍😏
