A Modest Proposal*
Having voted for the proposal already approved without objection by the Senate before Christmas, the new House has sent to the Senate a problem without an easy solution. The Republicans in the Senate don’t want to vote on the bills again, because Trump has already threatened to veto them. Effectively the Democrats have done their job, so it is now a wholly owned Republican problem. Don’t let Republicans forget that the campaign promise was: Mexico would pay for the wall.
If she were feeling generous, Speaker Pelosi might send Trump some consolation prizes: his own ‘wall’, a building site, and the resources to expand his ‘wall’.
* Not to be confused with any other suggestions for dealing with children or the child-like.

And in other news, Republicans discovered a huge scandal about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: When she was in college, she was cute as a bug in a rug and she could dance, which she did in a college video. With actual friends that she didn’t have to pay. And she had fun. Oh noze!
I am pretty much ROFL’ing over this “scandal”. This is supposed to dissuade people from voting for her?!

Have they seen Melania’s softcore magazine pictures or Donald guest starring in Playboy videos? If this was a Sigma Nu pledge party during Spring Fling [think Animal House with less fabric] it might be worth a “hrrmpf”, but a meme event at BU? She got 80% of the vote. In her district Republicans have to wear a bell to warn real people of their presence.

AOC is a Puertoricana and is not going to alter her persona to fit someone else’s vision of what’s “proper”. She got elected, beating a veteran pol in the primary, by being herself. She is representative of her district which is why she won so big – the people in her district recognize themselves in her.
Civility died with the rise of Newt Gingrich and Trump drove a stake in its heart. The new class of Dems is ready to give as good [or better] as they get. The Repugs are going to choke themselves with their pearls 👿

Yeah, Hillary Clinton showed the final failure of the “if they go low, we’ll go high” strategy. It doesn’t work in today’s troll-filled political scheme. The trolls end up ruling the roost.
