That’s basically what they have in some places along the Rio Grand/Bravo although they call it a levee. Now they want to put a bollard fence on top so none of the people living on the river side of the levee have access to their property.

There has never been a barrier that could stop corruption, that’s why most of the illegal drugs move through ports of entry [until the next tunnel gets built.]

What in hell is the Border Patrol going to do if they start loading stones into their catapults/trebuchets instead of bales of hemp? We’ll have an arms war on the southern border.

I think Trump wanted something like the Great Wall of China, which is basically rammed earth between two stone walls with guard stations on top of it and was so effective that China got conquered through it not once, but * twice*. Usually by the invaders just paying the gate-keepers to hold the gates open.

Instead, Wall is a bollard fence. LOL. And now Trump saying Wall good, bollard fence is Wall, Trump like Wall, Trump smash!

(BTW, we know what a guard station on top of a wall is in the modern era. “Target practice”. LOL.)

And those bales can injure Border Patrol agents on the US side who didn’t know what was going on, which is why the Border Patrol doesn’t like the concept of solid concrete walls.

On the plus side, this stretch of Wall will prevent drugs from flowing into the United States… oh wait, trebuchets can easily fling bales of marijuana over a 30 foot wall.
