The humidity and rain I get is the result of the storms pulling moisture out of the Gulf to flood the Midwest. It’s as if the weather was using a leaky hose and I’m getting the result of the leaky bit, not the nozzle.

The issue is never settled between male dogs. If Blue chased off the “intruder”, Mr. Couch Potato would be back to marking in no time. It’s not the dog’s fault, it’s the owner’s fault.

Incoming! lol. Ive often thought about letting him loose to settle the issue between them. Blue is about 85 lbs. He’s pretty, but he’s tough. The neighbor’s dog is a couch potato, so I have a feeling the matter would be settled rather quickly. But I keep my dogs in their fenced area like a good neighbor. Ha.

Ouch! Thank goodness Whisper has no dangerous claws. That sounds painful for sure.

You know, Bryan, that is kind of weird. With the heat and humidity you’ve been having, I would think you’d have lightning all over the place. I’m already getting phone notification warnings for this afternoon again. Oh boy.

There have been storms all around, and plenty of rain, but no lightning – very strange.

My cats hide and stay hidden in thunderstorms, which is better than their mother who would jump in my lap and then extend claws at the thunder.

Blue is right to be annoyed at interlopers marking his territory. That’s the canine version of foreign bombers violating airspace – it cannot be tolerated πŸ˜‰

It’s the worst May that I can remember, the weather feels more like late June or early July for us. We had one of those late afternoon thunderstorms yesterday with wind gusts of 50-60 mph and nearly lost the market umbrella off my deck! When we have that type of heat and humidity combined, it’s almost guaranteed to bring in a late thunderboomer in this area. Whisper was crawled up against me again. She seriously does not like them. Blue looks up like, “well that was loud”, and then goes back to sleep. He’s a chill dog. The only thing that really bothers him is when the neighbor pit bull mix comes over and craps in our yard. This is something that really sets his hair on fire.

It’s just like the jungle, only no one is shooting at you (usually).

Sheepskins are nearly as good as memory foam. There’s a rumor that there might be a few sheep Down Under. Nothing beats natural fibers for warmth on the outside and soups certainly warms up your inside.

Sounds like you are having a nasty flu season down there, Mate. Take care that the cold doesn’t leave you open to something worse.

Juanita, it looks like the nasty storm pattern that has set up is giving those of us Southeast of the track this muggy nuisance weather. We aren’t getting our normal breezes in the morning and night, but everyone has ceiling fans stirring the air. With the high humidity, the wet towel around your neck isn’t much help. I would be really annoyed about putting up with this weather in the mountains. Mountains are where you go in the summer for relief.

At 93 with ridiculously high humidity, it’s miserable outside. Stay cool, Bryan!

Kryten, it’s always strange thinking about your opposite weather down under. lol. You’re cold and we’re hot! Hope you get to feeling better, the soup should do the trick. πŸ˜‰

(Though, in my defense... I have a head cold & it's freezing here! I just got up to heat some soup. So... pretty much everything exhausts me now.) It's already getting to what used to be typicale late-June temp's. Max of 14C today + wind chill, and dropping now (5:40 PM). Will be a cold night. Also been raining on & off for 4 days. I'll have my hot soup, med's & crawl back to bed. Thankfully I have an Eskimo grade duck-down doona (quilt) & got a 4cm thick memory foam-latex, pure wool covered mattress topper late last year on special (A$78). I knew this would be a cold winter! I may not be able to hibernate for three years, but I can sleep though most of it in comfort!🀭😏 Stay cool my friend & don't overdo it! You really do not want to end up like me. 😟]]> Bryan… You really do amaze me! I do not know how you do it all. πŸ€”πŸ˜³ I’m exhausted just reading that!
