Bill Clinton was at Georgetown, and I was flying in Alaska from Fairbanks/Eielson AFB or Shemya AFS. Those things were covered in junior high and high school.

It’s a bit strange that only half of us remembered what we learned.

maybe they were cutting class and listening to sgt pepper instead.

It’s a good time to go before it gets erased by climate change. Beautiful country, too bad people don’t seem interested in preserving it.

I’m going to Valdez to participate in the Valdez Last Frontier Theatre Conference hosted by Prince William Sound Community College. It’s a big deal in the theatre community; seven days of performances, playwriting, workshops, and just plain old playwright-bonding (and enjoying the local seafood). It looks like I’m going to win the prize for the farthest-traveled participant, too. It will take 10+ hours of flying time just to get to Anchorage, then another flight to Valdez. I’m taking my heavy sweater and sleep mask, too.

We all had civics and American history & government, so we all learned how things are supposed to work. It’s a bit strange that only half of us remembered what we learned. Apparently the more money your parents had, the less you remember about civics and government.

when i was double -checking that birthday thing i did notice that 3 of the last 4 presidents were born in 1946.
