We don’t eat fish caught inshore because there is a coal-fired power plant just west of us which guarantees mercury.

The heavy metals are naturally occurring. They aren’t a problem unless man or nature concentrates them. People know this, which is why governments should be checking for them in food and beverages.

In my training, we pretty much ignored deserts because we assumed another European war in addition to the jungle war we were engaged in at the time. Of course, with the exception of the Balkans, deserts have provided the terrain for all our recent combat.

Especially rice, mushrooms, wine & chicken (they are fed contaminated rice which makes them eat more & they get fat faster). The Australian desert’s & other arid areas are full of it. We learned about that as part of our survival training. *shrug*
