I understand. We were a bit more structured in my outfit, but a number of those with whom we cooperated had some unusual requirements, like stock car racing. They would be looking for language skills for jobs. We figured out the reason for the stock car requirement and all decided the job was a bit too insane. Getting intercepted by the Libyan Air Force was much less of a risk.
A lots of the things we did as kids that adults thought were stupid or dangerous turned out to be useful in later life. If we had known they probably wouldn’t have been any fun 😉

As I was to discover… I was hired only partially for my IT/Engineering skills. He had other plans for me, requiring high-sec clearances where the technical skills were an added bonus. And my other skills learned from a young age, also. I got to see much of the World.
