I was thinking about the Rocky vid last night, and yes. I suspected pretty much as you said above. Especially as the model was remote controlled. 😉 But it was still funny. LOL

I replied to the movie set shooting thread to my friend Scotty with your comment above & my own comment added. Scotty is a good one & worth following if you want. (He started the #GeeksResist Twitter group a couple years ago which has grown fairly large. A lot of geeks really despise (or hate) the GOP & Dotard. It has a few forums where we chat. One is strictly about geeky fun stuff. And food. LOL)

Another Youtuber & Twit I enjoy is @Thoughty2 – He does in depth research on a wide range of interesting & just plain weird subjects. He also fact checks ‘conspiracy theories’ that are often amusing! He had this one recently about why NK doesn’t need Nukes to win a war.

As for Rocky the flying squirrel – the bit of the squirrel getting in the cockpit is straight, but there’s no squirrel in the cockpit on the flying scenes. He should have put a stuffed squirrel in there, but didn’t. Still, it was better than a number of films and tv shows I’ve seen.

You are correct about the movie death. I have yet to see or investigate “an accidental shooting”, but have seen a lot of criminally negligent shootings. There is no reason to have live ammo on a movie lot. No one should ever be allowed to touch a weapon who hasn’t had and passed a firearms safety course. You always verify the loaded/unloaded status of a weapon yourself. The armorer on that set is personally liable for the shooting and not giving weapons safety training to anyone who would be touching weapons.

I watched the new Dune: Part One movie last night. Not really sure what I think of it. It was better than the ’84 movie for sure. But I’ll have to watch Part Two first I think, whenever that’s released. Sadly, the Dune book story have become a Video trope and mem by Marvel & the like the past 20+ years! That spoils it.🙄🤷‍♂️
