Friday Ark #141…

We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …

They are growing fast! I bet mom will be glad when income stops. I remember when we got Bebe, her kittens had sucked the life out of her..

That happens to the ferals, the moms become almost skeletal when they are nursing.

Actually, Ringo is a bit of the problem as she isn’t forcing them to switch, as the feral mothers would be doing. She’s new at this and has too much fun playing with her kids to start with any discipline.

Well, who wouldn’t prefer Mom to kibble! But I bet Ringo will figure out soon enough what she needs to do. Great picture, Bryan.

She hunts them down for dinner, rather than forcing them to fend for themselves by locating the food dishes.

They are using the litter box…well, they are fairly close to the litter box.

Kaylee’s Krowd is on solid food now, but like Ringo, Kaylee calls them out for a snack once a day. Only Notdot (AKA Naughty Dotty) is completely disinterested. They will come running at the sound of kibble hitting the bowl, too, and human dinners must be eaten standing up with plates held well out of reach. The forced grooming sessions are over, but Kaylee does give them a quick once-over before allowing them to nurse.

As for the litter box, only Hamster still seems confused by its purpose. He will, however, cry and cry if he has to go in what he knows is the wrong spot: The others point and laugh. Humans using the bathroom are subject to intense scrutiny…

Bebe was a feral herself although she was rescued not too long after she gave birth to her kitttens. Although she can be a little timid at times, we were shocked by her transformation into a loving housecat

Property isn’t very interested in nursing, which is good, because she is already spoken for to be a companion to a man who is house-bound. As soon as I can certify the litter box she’s off to live with a older man and older tom.

Ringo is the “spectator” in the bathroom, but the kittens haven’t picked up on it.

Some make the change, Jams, but others never will. Molly, the current overall alpha female will come in, but she wants out almost immediately.

Things have to move at their own pace. Only Property is acclimated and she is bespoke.

Aw, those are such sweet babies. I wouldn’t mind playing with a kitten. What did you name the lighter kitten? Or did you let Ringo do the naming? I bet she named it “Mrrwrf”. 🙂

He is Excise, all were named for forms of taxes because they were born on April 15th.
