A quick check showed that neither PBS or NPR thought it was worthwhile to mention Labor Day in their programming [outside of references in campaigning on labor day at parades in Iowa and New Hampshire], while the CBC had all kinds of features today.
I guess labor is just too controversial for the media.

they probably think it only refers to one component of producing a baby.
Their Republican overlords would object and reduce corporate funding if they ran the documentaries on the Triangle Shirtwaist fire, or the mining strikes.
Perhaps the Republican overlords have *already* objected. :-/

The madder I get, the more restrained I get. I have a very bad temper that I actively work at controlling.
I was really shocked when I got my first teaching position and found out there was a union for faculty members. I joined after a little research on the reason it was founded. You would have thought that a state university system would have some concept of fairness and equality of treatment, but that wasn’t the case.
