Friday Cat Blogging

Awwww…
(Hardheaded late-middle-aged white male businessman goes all soft and sentimental at the sight…)
I would be in such pain for so many weeks if I tried that, even when I was young.
setu bandhasana. or jathara parivartanasana. or both at once.
Friday Ark #155…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …
The ability of a cat to find comfort always astoiunds. I was thinking of trying that pose myself but I didn’t want to put a chirpracter’s children through college!
My neck hurt just looking at him, and he shifted to this “more comfortable” position while I was getting the camera. There was a lot more twist in his original position.
Personally, I think cats are actually a liquid rather than a solid. It’s the only explanation I’ve come up with anyhow. The way they pour out of your hands when you’re setting them down after picking them up and hugging and petting them is another example. Liquid. Has to be.

Having seen feral kittens escape from cages, I have to agree with you Badtux.
My cats don’t get into visually uncomfortable positions, generally speaking, but Koshka does locate strange places to doze off. Her favorite spot is atop the hutch portion of the Professor’s computer desk in a box that is supposed to contain wargame components.
And, she has a seam down the middle of her belly, like Excise, and another down the middle of her back. It’s almost as though they took two half-cats and stitched them together.
Sounds like a climber. Ringo wants to sleep up high in something while the boys are tripping hazards most of the time.
I hadn’t noticed the “seam” as it’s part of the muted tabby pattern, but Koshka’s a calico so it must be the way the hair grows.
That’s no cat…that’s rubber covered with fur.
Awwwww. Excise is such a beautiful cat. At least you don’t have to worry about him not getting enough sleep. He can sleep anywhere.
I should be so lucky, Jill. Excise has a real problem remembering where litter boxes are located when he gets excited.
Actually, he almost switches off, OWL. He goes from chasing his brother and sister, to just collapsing wherever he happens to be in a flash. He also has a tendency to pick the wrong place and will ooze off a table because the book he laid down on was solidly on the table.
It hurts just to look at that picture… man, what does he have for a spine ? Rubber ?
He will lay on his back across your leg and almost fold.
