Friday Cat Blogging
KT, Not QT
Your next step, is your last.
[Editor: There have been a half dozen ferals with these markings [this is KT-2], and not one of them has ever been tolerant, much less friendly.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. The other, of course, involves orcs."

the. friendliest. cat. evar. that i’ve ever lived with was marked almost exactly like that — a gray tuxedo cat, with almost, but not quite as much, white as kt.
It has a wonderful look on its face. Maybe not friendly but certainly handsome Bryan
These markings go back to the founding matriarch, Eve. The original Katy was an indoor cat that belonged to a neighbor and was not part of the feral tribe. Within the tribe, none of the females, and they have all been female, has offered anything but attitude to the mix.
Yes, Jams, they are appealing, but very aloof.
He knows he’s cool.
“… and not one of them has ever been tolerant, much less friendly.”
Sounds like the GOP version of the feral guvmint…
Nice-looking cat, in any case.
One can only hope it just the “teenage status”, Catnapping, but experience says it will last a lifetime.
OTOH, Terry Pratchett thinks: “In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.”
Cats are obviously libertarians, Steve, although they don’t object to hand outs.
KT-2 is quite the beauty. He/she looks ready for a masquerade party.
As usual, OWL, she is waiting for dinner. That’s the only time I see her currently. The rest of the day she is off doing “her thing”.
Please forgive me my anti-cat blogging rant. It wasn’t directed at anyone in particular, least of all you.
Frederick, I don’t take things personally when it comes to cats. Some people just don’t like them, just like some people don’t like dogs, and most people don’t like reptiles.
I would just as soon not have as many in my house as I do, but the ones on the inside can’t make it on the outside, because people interfered. They didn’t learn the skills necessary to survive when kittens, so they don’t know not to play in the street.
The feral cats are predators. People have eliminated the large snakes that used to provide rodent control in my area, so the choice is cats or rats. I come from a very long line of farmers on both sides of my family, and you learn to like and respect animals [except turkeys which should be banned], but know that some of them are destined to become dinner.
Added: Friday Cat Blogging is another “Internet tradition”, and a very thin excuse to buy ever newer and better digital cameras.
