Blogiversary™

4So I started to waste my time on Blogger four years ago. It’s all Andante’s fault.

It’s hard to believe that people have had nothing better to do with their lives than to stop by here about 140,000 times. Nearly 20,000 times they found something to say about the 4,900 or so posts I’ve made.

We really need to find a hobby.

We really need to find a hobby.

Oh? You are suddenly independently wealthy? 😉 LOL

Heh… Congrats!! 😀

I just have this site up as one of my standard dozen FF tabs. I generally make a post when I need to take my mind of some problem that’s annoying or eluding me, or I’m just bored! LOL

Seriously though, It’s a good blog Bryan. You are sane and rational (in spite of your anger and some very legitimate reasons to be seriously pissed at Life, the Universe, and everything!) Plus… you are a Pratchett fan (which, BTW, is one of the reasons I first came back after I discovered ‘Why Now?’)

Don’t be too hard on yourself mate… You are a bright spark amongst the polluted lights. 😉 🙂

And I’m grateful to Adante for getting you started, and for her contributions to global sanity!

Cheers and best wishes!

um, i think we did find a hobby. also, i’m still blaming you for my newly-minted crazy cat lady hobby.

Terry Pratchett is one of the main reasons I stay sane, Kryten. You know that he was the brand new spokesman for British nuclear power on the day one of their reactors went bonkers, a situation alluded to in Good Omens. To still have a sense of humor after something like that is a model for us all.

Oh, sure, Hipparchia, blame it on me.

Happy Anniversary. A hobby…you have a hobby.

Happy Blogiversary, Bryan! May you have many more… you keep writing ’em, we’ll keep reading ’em!

I thank you all. It’s what I do to clear my mind while debugging or compiling.

I just, for some reason I can’t remember, read your first post the other day. My…how the time slips by. Congratulations.

Sometimes it slips by, and others it crawls along. It has a lot to do with your age, the temperature, and whether or not you’re standing in a line.

Thanks, Frederick.

Sending you charbroiled, crispy congrats! 😉

You do know that Nomex comes in colors, Jill, and it’s not just for flight crews and race drivers these days.

Thanks.

Wow, four years? It seems like it was only yesterday, when you would just circle the blogs, leaving comments…..and we all bugged you to get your own blog because your comments were too good for comments alone…lol

Happy blogiversary!

Thank you, Moi. BTW, your “pumpkin” is going to be bigger than Pippin any time now.

Happy Anniversary. I would say reading and writing is a hobby. 🙂

They can be a hobby, or an obsession – it’s a fine line.

Sorry I missed the big day, Bryan. I don’t know what I was thinking, missing you on the one day that is an important one.

Thanks for your insight, your sense of history, and most of all, your common sense and down-t0-earth view of the world. You have taught me a great deal.

Yes, but I will never be a writer, MB, and writers are the people who are really remembered.

I posted it because it would be counted as a “senior moment” if I didn’t, after all the date is on the sidebar.
