"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. They obviously know the weather is coming; they’re preparing to pile up…
Tabitha and Samantha sleep separately unless it’s really cold. Tabitha usually piles on top of Stella if possible, and Samantha is truly a loner at night, even on moderately cold nights. Both of them make exceptions to their usual practices if it freezes.
Stay warm, Bryan.

What a wonderful shot Bryan. Sadly there’s no way I could get all four furry masters in a shot like that, given Ted’s antipathy to every other cat in the house and Bebe’s jealousy of Mimi

It helps to have litter mates in the mix and clear hierarchy. Getting Ringo and Dot in close proximity is always a problem, but Sox is a welcomed by everyone inside.
Mine are doing the exact same thing today. Now it is 45 on the Texas coast but we are a little spoiled and think 45 is pretty darn cold..;)
I’m just around “the corner” on the Florida Gulf coast, and 25 this morning was cold, even the feral cats were being nice to each other. Our houses are built for air conditioning, not heating.
Awwww!! What a wonderful pile of beauty! They look so soft and warm. I think Excise’s way of doing things is cute cute cute. Do you think there is a specific reason some cats lay on their backs?

I’ve noticed that it is generally males that sleep that way, but normally it is when they are hot and want to dump the extra heat, definitely not the case in this picture. Excise is just weird, cute, but weird.
