I understand your feelings, and now you can see they don’t seem interested in helping your son, either. It is a very frustrating period in politics. We need some viable third parties, but the Dems and Reps will do everything they can to prevent that from happening.

I blame them for making me have no other choice than to vote for someone who I KNEW was lying. I could never turn PUMA, and Gawd Forbid I ever vote for anything Sarah Palin was involved with. Not vote ? Next time, that may be the only choice.

If you look at his record, Nixon was more progressive in his first term than Obama seems to be.

I did that once, in 1968. For my trouble, I got Nixon.

I just saw that.

You know, between the Medicare Advantage privatization scheme, and stupid ideas like that, there are a lot of ways of making health care reform cheaper.

If the Beaten Dogs and the Republicans are the only choices we are going to be offered, there really isn’t much point in voting in other than local elections. There are still DINOs and RINOs who are actually trying to do something for their constituents at the local and state level.

It would seem that as soon as they enter the DC Dimension they forget who they work for.

They are still simpering and waffling as if it were 2003 and they were clinging desperately to some tattered shreds of relevance, instead of being in charge of everything. Most of the credit should actually go to Steve Bates, because he was the one who pulled it all together in that earlier comment thread. …

As far as further support for the Democrats is concerned, I’ve pretty much decided to make radical changes in my voting patterns if the Beaten Dogs and Blue Dogs conspire to produce something that makes “half measures” look good in comparison, and I may just walk away – block any satellite channel that even mentions politics; burn my voter registration card (not sure what good that would do, though, since we have total vote-by-mail out here in Orygun’s socialist/communist/fascist Cascadistan); start a sports blog and obsess over quarterback ratings and ERA’s – if the all too real possibility of this whole thing falling completely apart manifests itself ….
