Tornado In NYC?

MSNBC reports on what sounds like a tornado in New York City.

One person dead when his car was struck by a tree. Roofs ripped off, trees up-rooted, 100 mph winds, hail.

I hope that city-dwellers like Elayne made it through without injury. It struck at the evening rush-hour.

Update: Elayne confirms: an F2 Tornado in Brooklyn.

…in an effort to get the latest bit on this rather surprising bit of news, I googled and found that F2 tornadoes are not recently unheard of in the Greater NYC metropolitan area…

But never forget: Al Gore is fat…

Things are really messed up, Jack, and no one seems ready to do anything about it.

The hurricane season started out as a dud, which I thought was an excellent thing, but now it’s going nuts.

Kern County, California has had fire after fire for months. The Douglas firs are being eaten by beetles. We only had 4 days without rain in August, which had traditionally been a dry month along the coast. Now New York is getting hit with tornadoes, as happened in Atlanta not long ago.

I don’t know how you convince people that this is a serious problem.
