Keeping Up With The Times
Zzz…zzz…zzz…
[Editor: Molly approves of modern conveniences, like heat provided by an electric light. More reliable than the younger generation, and it keeps the concrete pad dry as well as warm.]

Some people think cats are old stick in the muds but when it comes to comfort they are at the cutting edge!
Indeed. The Mighty Fang has a warm vibrating cat-a-lounger that he uses. The fact that this cat-a-lounger also dries clothes is just a side benefit of its true purpose ;).

If I wasn’t concerned about what the possums might do with it, I’ve considered buying one of those outside heating pads that are supposedly weather=proof, but Molly likes to curl up next to the metal reflector. There is a cover over the top provided by a blue tarp, but if you enclose it too much they won’t go near it. They like to have multiple escape routes.
The ferals have discovered the sauna provided by the outside vent to my Mother’s version of that device, Badtux.
My guys definitely appreciate the fact that the furnace in this house has floor grates rather than the usual ceiling grates. The only real issue is that the poor furnace will be moaning away, trying to shove warm air through the grates, and not really succeeding too well because of fat cats blocking grates :). Well, that and they occasionally hurl down the grates (what, I have 1200 square feet of floor space and these teeny little 4″x8″ holes are the only place they can find to hurl?!), but that’s another issue.
Yep, cats definitely like their comfort ;).
Molly’s one smart cookie – she doesn’t have to worry about the other kitties pushing her around, while trying to keep warm.
“The ferals have discovered the sauna provided…”
Ah. Fauna and sauna.
There’s nothing like cat hair to clog furnace filters, Badtux. I have a relative who complains that her bedroom is always freezing because the cat blocks the vent.
Molly doesn’t like other cats very much, OWL, and most of them are afraid of her because she tends to “slap” anyone who she feels is out of line.
Always seeking the rhyme, if not the reason for things, Steve 😉
