funny pictures - Yes, Binky, they were foolish to leave us in charge.

We elected these ‘maroons’ who are pushing us over the cliff.

Indeed. Every time someone starts whining about “the government”, I point out that fact to them. The dumbasses keep electing the same corrupt SOB’s to Congress anyhow.

We elected them? Really? I confess I voted for O’Bummer; mea culpa. But I’m still certain NO ONE elected GeeDubya Bush. He stole the mofo. Our de facto form of government has changed. Elections don’t mean much these days, and they will mean still less in the future. When Zero raises a billion dollars for the 2012 campaign, you can be sure it’s not coming in $25 checks from grocery stockers, or even $100 from truck drivers. And the contributors at the $50k level always collect their debts…

Steve, the only kind of election that can be stolen is a close election because our voting system is run by local voter registrars and you’d have to corrupt a *lot* of them to steal an election where one person is up by 20%. It shouldn’t have been close enough to steal with GWB, the guy was obviously a moron and a twit from day one. Yet at least 49% of Americans who bothered to vote voted for the man. And 40% of Americans of voting age didn’t even bother to vote. Clearly America had no problem with GWB being President, even tho GWB was a corrupt incompetent tool. So be it. Democracy is the notion that the common folk know what they want, and deserve to get it, good and hard. Too bad the rest of us are along for the ride too.

I didn’t vote for any of the people in the current DC clown show, but I did vote, which is more than half the country bothers to do. Too many of the people complaining did vote for the dysfunctional collection of criminals in Washington, because they didn’t bother to find out who they were and what they would do.

It is the nature of the US system that the government is the fault of the voters. If the people you voted for don’t do what you want, vote for someone else.

Voters thought they were electing Democrats to fix the mess in 2008, and were they ever proven wrong. So they went back to Republicans.
