A wise move on her part!
She has inherited the job of alpha female with the death of sister, and is not exactly thrilled with it. When the Lone Ranger was alive they would pool their kits and babysit for each other, but that option is no longer available.
We haven’t had any kittens survive so far this year, which is the first year in memory that has happened. I don’t know why, but something has changed.
Awww! She’s such a pretty kitty. I guess she manages to get food from someplace. I don’t blame her for not wanting to rub shoulders with the “commoners” – even if some are her own kids.
There is plenty of food, but she avoids the rush. If she doesn’t mix with the others, she doesn’t have to impose ‘discipline’, so things stay a lot quieter.
